Meet Candace.

Candace is a Licensed Professional Counselor affiliated with Christian Counseling Services. She received her education at Pepperdine University and worked with children, individuals and families through Outreach Concern Inc. in California.

Candace is trained through EMDRIA as an EMDR therapist which is a trauma-focused approach that is deeply rooted in dealing with past traumas to create healing. Through this treatment approach, the main goal is to help clients live life authentically and gain tools for empowering them to take control of their daily life. Candace believes in empowering her clients, couples and families to gain a better understanding of ways to change the current cycle of behaviors or patterns in order for them to better their lives and well-being. As a team, clients and her will work together in a safe environment where they will find new options to create a more balanced and healthy life. 

Candace uses the Gottman Method, based on 40+ years of research, to assist couples to build a healthier relationship. She will guide couples through current relational patterns that will help to gain a better understanding of strengths and give them tools to work on leading the couples to an intimate fulfilling relationship.  As well as, the How We Love Attachment method to understand the patterns present in the relationship which explains the main reason for disconnection, lack of communication and understanding with partner. In addition through couples counseling the goal is to create new patterns to have a secure attachment with our partner.
